Expanding the Realm of On-Chain Gaming

Announcing a new long-term partnership with Realm that will continue to expand the possibilities of interoperability across the Treasure ecosystem.

Treasure is excited to announce a new long-term partnership with Realm to deepen game world interoperability between our projects. This initiative will involve multiple phases of seeing how we can push the boundaries of on-chain games together. For more than two years, Realm has been one of the stand-out projects in the Treasure ecosystem and has been an industry leader in experimental approaches to AI, economy design, and on-chain games more generally.

Background on Realm

The Realm project has made huge strides in the last two years and been one of the major players of Arbitrum gaming.

• 69% burn rate of $ANIMA (over 45 million burned)

• 48% of $ANIMA in LP positions

• Over 13,000 Adventurers in the Realmverse

Going forward, Realm’s North Star is to create an on-chain game that rivals EVE Online’s economy, the resource management and strategy of Civilization, and Warcraft’s exploration and discovery. Our partnership will move both teams closer to these goals.

Early Integrations

In the first phase of the collaboration with Realm, we will focus on an integration of Treasures and Treasure Fragment NFTs into Realm's ecosystem. Their Crafting Platform was built with interoperability and extensibility in mind. The platform allows them to integrate any token (ERC-20, ERC-1155, ERC-721) into their recipes. The Smol Bodies PFP collection will also be included as a Partner Adventurer. This will allow them full access to play in all game loops (Explore, Battle, Craft, etc), adding yet another Treasure character collection that can participate in the Realmverse.

Medium-Term Integrations

The Realmverse Unified, an initiative to solidify all of Realm's economic game loops, will feature the use of Treasure NFTs as a key component of the new upcoming Exploration Platform. We plan to work together with Realm to experiment with using each other’s in-game assets and economic loops in meaningful ways. Realm Adventurers will be able to utilize Treasures inside the Unified loops, and Smol Brains and Bodies will also be able to participate in this exploration system.

Looking Ahead

In the long-term, we look to create import-export systems for items between Realm and other parts of Treasure. Plans for systems such as these are in early stages, and we are deliberating together about the protocols most suited for facilitating inter-game trade economies.

Realm has made significant contributions to onchain games in their history even as a small team. In the coming weeks, they will add a new version of gameplay in an aim to tap into a wider user base and attract them to the on-chain Realmverse. We look forward to collaborating with Realm as they begin to expand their operations and continue to push the boundaries, especially in the field of AI and crypto gaming.
